About Police Honor Guard
The Roseville Police Department Honor Guard Unit has been in existence since 1995. It was formed after the on-duty death of Roseville Police Officer Mark White. Since then, the Honor Guard Unit has attended numerous funerals throughout California for law enforcement officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty.
The Honor Guard Unit is a group of officers that are responsible for attending special functions that require pride, honor, and distinction. The above officers were selected by the Chief of Police for their pride in being an officer as well as their commitment to the community.
The Honor Guard Unit attends and has performed at the following functions, at times in conjunction with the Roseville Fire Department Honor Guard Unit:
- Police, Fire and Dignitary Funerals
- California State Peace Officer Memorial Week
- Color details at selected city & civic events
- Special Olympics
- Placer County Honors & Awards
- Departmental functions as directed
If you are interested in having the Roseville Police Department Honor Guard Unit attend your function, please send your inquires to the Honor Guard Coordinator. Requests for our attendance should be made at least 45 days prior to the event.
